Good lord

My site visits have shot waaay up since posting that last post. It's a little alarming. And apparently it comes down to the mere mention of a certain currently hot TV actor with the initials H.L. It began to happen within 15 minutes of posting. I really don't fundamentally get fandom, I have to say.

OK, I have to admit I'd have participated in the swoony screaming, had I been there. Or at least the swooning. But the dogged Internet searching, not so much.

Wow. That's weird. Of course, I don't know who this HL character actually *is*, so that may contribute to my bafflement.

And now, of course, I'll have to do a Google search, thereby potentially contributing to someone else's sitemeter.

Kermit - aha! An important fact to keep in mind about you!

What do you think, heu mihi - are you going to join Kermit in swooning?

I, too, have no clue who this person is. I've realized, in the past five years or so, that I have entered the Middle Aged territory of not knowing about any of the Important Celebrity Personages of the young. It's... bemusing.

Sq., the irony here is that he is middle-aged, and is a sex symbol for middle-aged women...

I'm with you, though, sort of. I know who he is, and what show he's on, but that's all - have never seen the show or anything.

An even better way of appreciating the swooniness, I think, is look on YouTube for some of the older British comedic stuff he and Stephen Fry did... the "mystery song" is ROFL funny, as are selections from Jeeves and Wooster (adapted from the Wodehouse novels). Not that I'm trolling for converts to the screaming hordes, but this stuff deserves to be better known.

Ah! I've seen a couple of Wooster and Jeeves episodes - I thought they were hilarious. I didn't know that was him!
