New boots for a new year

There were these boots I'd been eyeing in a shop window since September 30 (to be exact). They were way, way too expensive. But oh, I longed for those boots. Then GF and I were out on Monday night, trying to find a *$!%# restaurant that was open on New Year's Day. During our wandering, I noticed that the longed-for boots were now on sale at a major discount.

I went back to the store yesterday. They had hardly any left. But they had my size! I bought them.

(Edited to add: Wow, this picture is bad - it shows the boots as shiny! In real life, one of the things that's great about them is that they are *not* shiny, not at all. They have a matte, almost worn, quality that suits their slightly odd, olive green colour.)

Oh, it is so satisfying to get my hands on these after all that fantasizing about them...

God, those boots are HOT! Lucky you! I meandered through Fancy Mall yesterday, where I had gone to one of the few papeteries in Cold City that carries Lett's of London day planners, and found a little shop with the most exquisite clothing. You can imagine how crestfallen I was when I saw the price tags, but a girl can dream....

And as your boots show, sometimes dreams do come true!
